Gary Cubeta Thursday: The Depression that never ends

Last Fall the American financial system virtually melted down.   The banking system collapsed under the weight of millions of worthless loans as we watched 25 years of growth go up in smoke.  The Federal Government had a choice, let it melt in 2008 or try and delay the pain by bailout.  They chose the later.

Rather than seeing our economic system collapse all at once, we are watching it happen in slow motion.  For yours truly it’s like trying to cover a football game that should last 3 hours, but instead goes on for 9 months.  Something tells me that this “game” could go on for the next 15 years.

More homes go into foreclosure and more Americans lose their jobs every day.  If you believe we can have a recovery with this destruction in the background, think again.  No work, no money … No money, no economy … I wish it could get better, but it can’t.  Here in Arizona it is an absolute disaster as we’ve reached the point where homes have a flat value of $80,000, regardless of quality and/or square footage.

You can’t recover with this … (click here)

Meanwhile we keep pumping out product as America prepares for the inevitable … 1-888-950-GOLD

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

My spouse and i nearly purchased the mino hd before christmas, but I discovered some of the videos that people had taken using it and I personally believed the video was really “jumpy” when there is any kind of movement on the display screen. Capturing movement would seem to be very important to a video camera…, but I was wondering if you have observed this?
